2 nights on Silver Strand, Coronado Island, California. We left early Saturday morning with just coffee in our hands. We took the slow route along the coast, 101. Once at Silver Strand we bought the annual California State Day Pass, $195, and parked on the overflow day lot. Our breakfasts are a bit of a big thing, eggs, spam, etc. At 2pm we checked in and were able to swap slots for front row. We did a beach walk, north. After dinner we looked at sunset in our brew chairs.
Sunday we walked to Imperial Beach. We visited Hess brewery and Coronado Brewery. We did walk way to far and too long.
Hess Brewery was very busy, very popular. waiting 30 minutes to get into their garden. We ordered a flight and small stuff to eat. Enjoyed the Sloughs Stout, 12.3%.
At Coronado Brewery we met the owner. Anna hopes to be able to get a brew club tour from the head brewer. Caramel Current Stout 10.3% was fantastic, smooth, easy drinking. Anna like the Ginger Lime Seltzer, made with cane sugar. Need to try this at home.
